QuickTel Technical Operations, Installation, & Support -

The QuickTel Technical Operations, Installation, and Support staff is responsible for installing new members and providing technical support to existing members. We work closely with Sales, Network Engineering Staff (QNES), and Systems Administration (SA) to make sure all services are up and running and correctly.

Technical Operations, Installation, and Support consist of three separate groups: Service Installation (SI), Technical Support (TS), and Technical Operations (TO). The Installations and Support groups are both responsible for some common areas such as IP address allocation and domain name registration.

Service Installation

  • Responsible for the installation of:
    • new membership services
    • new circuits
    • web hosting services
    • DNS
    • usage report
  • Assists clients with router and CSU/DSU set-up and installation
  • Maintains an inventory of network equipment allowing for "next business day" replacement of any failed customer premise equipment.

Technical Support

  • Responsible for the maintenance of:
    • DNS
    • web hosting services
    • usage reports
    • filters
    • allocation of additional addresses
  • Provides support for all existing members

Technical Operations

  • Administers Mail List Services.

Please Note: All incoming calls will be routed either to the Technical Support line of to the person who is an expert in the caller's area of concern.
